Larissa Wilming
Larissa Wilming is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Clarinet Performance and K-12 teaching certification. While attending the University of Iowa, Ms. Wilming was a member of the University of Iowa Symphony Band and Hawkeye Marching Band; serving as clarinet section leader and band librarian for the Iowa bands. This is Ms. Wilming's first year teaching at Western Dubuque and 4 1/2 year teaching overall. Before teaching at Drexler, Ms. Wilming taught 6-8 music in Dewitt and 5-12 band at Central in Elkader, IA. Ms. Wilming is from Peosta and attended Western Dubuque when she was a student - "once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat." Ms. Wilming is currently a member of the Iowa Bandmasters Association, Tri-State Wind Symphony, and Julian Winds Chamber Ensemble. She also is an alumna of the Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity.
During her free time she enjoys traveling, attending hot yoga classes, drinking coffee, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes!
